Blogs are believed to be very powerful as they publish millions of people’s ideas all across the world. Technorati is recognized as the authority when it comes to blogs. It’s actually a search engine for blogs that’s similar to Google and Yahoo only that it’s mainly for weblogs.
A blog’s popularity is measured in terms of authority; at least in Technorati. This authority is determined by the number of other blogs that link to a blog. The more blogs that link to your blog, the higher your blog’s Technorati rank gets. However, there have been doubts about this system. What if a person creates his own networks of blogs and links them all to a single blog? Wouldn’t be the Technorati rank inaccurate?
With this in mind, I came up with an idea to effortlessly give a big leap to one of my blogs Technorati rankings. My weblog, EstateGeek.com used to have an Authority: 6 and a Technorati ranking of 952,789 but after implementing my idea, it jumped into Authority: 56 and almost entered the top 100,000 in Technorati rankings in less than five days. Cool? In my opinion, the system on how they determine blog popularity is just weak!
Anyway, to those who are interested in knowing on what I did to increase my Technorati rankings instantly, here’s it. Being a Digital Point Forums member, I often see people selling blogposts on a network of blogs. This network is usually consists of a few blogs to a couple of hundreds. I bought of one of these packages for $6 and provided the blog network owner a single article to be posted on a network of 280 blogs. Within a few hours, my Technorati authority for the said blog increased like crazy! I am not sure if Technorati is going to do something about this in the future but they sure ought to.

A lot of marketers and webmasters have been skeptical about buying traffic. Most people think that they just burn money if they buy traffic and this traffic is pure junk and adds little to no value at all to their websites. However, the truth is buying traffic is not a bad idea. lf done properly, it can lead your websites to more returning visitors, higher sales and eventually, success. The idea of buying traffic revolves around the concept of paying actual referrals rather than a fixed rate for an ad placement. This means that if publishers (one that publish your ads) do not refer any visitors to your website, you pay nothing.
There are different ways on how you can buy traffic: per per clicks, newsletter inclusions, and bulk traffic buying. The most popular traffic buying way today is PPC or pay per click particularly Google Adwords and Yahoo Publisher. Using third party ad servers for PPC is also a good option newsletter inclusions have been effective for some companies. Proper and strategic placement in newsletters is a must. The third one which is bulk traffic buying is the easiest way of driving traffic to your website. This is the most questioned way of buying traffic. It may not be as effective as PPC and newsletter inclusion but there have been some success stories credited to it.

I haven’t been posting in a while because of a good number of reasons. Building a network of blogs is my next project and boy it’s a huge task! These blogs are going to be used for SEO purposes for my existing websites and clients’ websites. This is because it is believed that contextual links are more relevant to search engines and can increase your rankings better than regular text links.
I have around twenty blogs of different niches so far and counting. During the process of creating this network, I have discovered different ways on how to make money out of them and that kept me even more busy. Realizing that documenting the progress of my efforts is important, expect a regular update regarding this.
