SEO Questions That Some Internet Marketers Ramp About

Thanks for stopping by at my post, nice to meet you all! I am Valerie Zamouline, President of SEOLOGIST LLC, a young, fun and Internet savvy team of Toronto search engine optimizers and interactive web design pros. We are totally in love with our job and truly proud of our customer satisfaction scores, this is why we make it our priority to educate them on what today’s search engine optimization involves, as well as on what realistic expectations they should have before their SEO campaign is commenced. Over the last 5 years of our SEO practice we obviously faced a lot of inquisitive customers questions who would ask all sorts of questions that needed through explanation and understanding of the process. We narrowed the list down to the 4 most typical questions, answering which will automatically clear most other difficulties.
How long before I rush into top 10?
There is no way we or anyone else could know for sure (apart from maybe some search engine engineers who would never let you know anyways). There’s just no knowing… It’s imperative for the future success of the project and 100% customer satisfaction, to make sure the customer realizes that the behaviour of search engine spiders and changes in the algorithms of all major search engines remain out of the control of search engine optimizers. Not a single decent and responsible search engine optimizer will guarantee that your website will be up on page 1 on Google by 11 am June 12th However, knowing the age of your domain, quantity and quality of existing backlinks, quality of the content presented, capability for attracting natural backlinks just to name a few, some estimates can be made. It must be noted though, that you are always walking on the thin ice if you’re offering these estimates as guarantees.
How many links each month will you build for me?
Numbers are immaterial these days (well, almost). We at SEOLOGIST, are worshipers of qualitative SEO thinking, therefore a common answer a question like this is: it’s not a quantity game anyways, it’s a quality game. We will get as many quality links for as much billable time we have. This all is done manually, there is no button pushing. If you’re focused on numbers, then perhaps we’re not the right company for you.
What Pagerank should I expect?
Not once have we faced the situation when people simply confused Pagerank for the actual rank or position their website has on a page generated by the search engine for a certain query (or what we SEO’s often refer to as SERPs). After I explain the difference, I usually say - it will be somewhere in that range of the top 10 websites for your keywords. Some SEO’s these days openly claim that PageRank as such ceased to be an influential search engine optimization factor. Our thinking is that they just don’t see the direction in which the weight of PageRank as a SEO factor is moving.
How about instead of paying you, I give you a percentage of my business?
This one is equally common and tough. It is often asked by people don’t understand that SEO is a time and labour consuming process that is usually a long-term investment. I usually start with explaining that I also have workers that need to get paid, not to mention my family that I have to feed! The great point about this – if you make millions out of this venture, you won’t have to share any portion with me, just our monthly fee!
These are perhaps the most common questions that arise due to lack of proper understanding of the SEO process. As a leading Ontario Internet marketing company we painstakingly work with each and every customer or lead on each and every answer until the client has a crisp-clean idea of what we are talking about. The good thing: after covering these 4 issues, most of other questions that a customer could have are automatically taken off the list!
