Blogs are believed to be very powerful as they publish millions of people’s ideas all across the world. Technorati is recognized as the authority when it comes to blogs. It’s actually a search engine for blogs that’s similar to Google and Yahoo only that it’s mainly for weblogs.

A blog’s popularity is measured in terms of authority; at least in Technorati. This authority is determined by the number of other blogs that link to a blog. The more blogs that link to your blog, the higher your blog’s Technorati rank gets. However, there have been doubts about this system. What if a person creates his own networks of blogs and links them all to a single blog? Wouldn’t be the Technorati rank inaccurate?

With this in mind, I came up with an idea to effortlessly give a big leap to one of my blogs Technorati rankings. My weblog, EstateGeek.com used to have an Authority: 6 and a Technorati ranking of 952,789 but after implementing my idea, it jumped into Authority: 56 and almost entered the top 100,000 in Technorati rankings in less than five days. Cool? In my opinion, the system on how they determine blog popularity is just weak!

Anyway, to those who are interested in knowing on what I did to increase my Technorati rankings instantly, here’s it. Being a Digital Point Forums member, I often see people selling blogposts on a network of blogs. This network is usually consists of a few blogs to a couple of hundreds. I bought of one of these packages for $6 and provided the blog network owner a single article to be posted on a network of 280 blogs. Within a few hours, my Technorati authority for the said blog increased like crazy! I am not sure if Technorati is going to do something about this in the future but they sure ought to.
